    Description   

The 7 Colors Mountain, Rainbow Mountain or Cerro Colorado, is located in the South Region of Cusco. A unique trek that exceeds the expectations of even the most demanding hikers. Fill yourself with unforgettable memories, panoramic views of glaciated mountains, crystal clear rivers, tranquil lakes and pastoral scenes. This new route is unique and a true adventure through preserved wild natural terrain. The route reaches heights between 4,710 and 5,200 meters above sea level.

ITINERARY

4:30 am We pick you up from your hotel or the meeting point and then head south through the City of Urcos to the district of Checacupe (2 hours by bus). Then we follow the road to Pitumarca where we will have breakfast and then continue our way until we reach the community of Hanchipata - Quesiuno (1 hour 20 minutes by bus) This will be our ideal starting point to travel the route. During our walk we will be able to appreciate the Ausangate mountain, beautiful blue lagoons and many other natural attractions. The walk to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) will last approximately 2 hours. Then we go down the same path to return to our bus. In Pitumarca we enjoy our lunch and then we go to Cusco. 6:00 pm- Arrival in Cusco (approx. hour) and end of the service.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Minimum age required: 12 years. It is recommended: bring trekking boots (preferably waterproof), warm clothes, rain gear (check, it depends on the date of travel), cap or hat, long pants (not recommended: Jeans), several polo shirts, personal towel, toilet paper , tissues, hand sanitizers, sunscreen, plastic rain poncho (depending on the date), medicines and/or items for personal use (liquid for contact lenses), bottle of water (you should drink plenty of fluids during the walk ), purification tablets and available cash. Any material loss or accident is under the responsibility of the client.
