   ITINERARY   

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA.

Upon arrival at the international airport of Lima, the reception is in charge of our staff for the pick up and transfer to our Hotel where you can settle down and rest.

DAY 2: LIMA – CITY TOUR.

In the morning (09:00 hrs approx) the visit of the city of Lima, also known as the "City of Kings" is planned to discover the most important places of this city, the tour begins with a visit to the historic center : Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, the Cathedral, the church of Santo Domingo. Visiting the Convent and Church of San Francisco, knowing this place means knowing the largest monumental complex of Colonial Art in America. Later (12:00 hrs approx) return to the hotel.

DAY 3: LIMA – BALLESTAS ISLANDS - ICA – HUACACHINA.

At first light of day (3:00 HRS APPROX) we will have the transfer to the bus station to board our bus to the city of Paracas, where we will visit the Ballestas Islands, populated by countless birds, seals and sea lions. Continuing with our trip we will arrive at our destination, the oasis of Huacachina (14:00 HRS APPROX) on the outskirts of the city of Ica. DAY 4: HUACACHINA - ICA - NAZCA – AREQUIPA.

This day after breakfast (8:00 HRS APPROX), you will go by bus to the city of Nazca. Upon arrival, the overflight of the Nazca Lines is planned. This circuit lasts 30 minutes. In the afternoon (15:00 HRS APPROX) the transfer will be made to the terminal to take the bus to the city of Arequipa; upon arrival at night (23:30 hrs approx) will be picked up and transferred from the bus terminal to the hotel.

DAY 5: AREQUIPA FREE.

We will have this day free to enjoy the beauty of the city and the delicious cuisine of the city.

DAY 6: AREQUIPA – CHIVAY – COLCA CANYON.

This day our trip will begin with the journey to the Colca Canyon (7:00 HRS APPROX), we will pass through the slopes of the Chachani volcano, crossing the Salinas and Aguada Blanca national reserve populated by wild vicuñas and shepherds, it also has a panorama huge snow-capped volcanoes like Ampato and Huallca Huallca. Finally we will arrive at the town of Chivay. Where we can spend the night in our hotel.

DAY 7: CHIVAY – PUNO.

Early in the morning (7:30 HRS APPROX) we will go to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where we will observe the flight of the condors, the largest flying birds in the world. The viewpoint offers a magnificent view of the Colca Canyon. Continuing the trip we will be able to observe the towns like Coporaque, Yanque, Achoma and Maca, return to Chivay where we will have time to have lunch. In the afternoon (13:30 HRS APPROX) we will go by tourist bus, where we will stop at strategic places to be able to observe the geography of this part of the Andes towards the city of Puno. Upon arrival (19:00 hrs approx) you will be transferred to the hotel, where you will spend the night.

DAY 8: PUNO - UROS - AMANTANI.

After breakfast (7:00 HRS APPROX), our trip begins with the transfer to the port on Lake Titicaca, to visit the floating islands of the Uros, an Aymara people who build their houses on rafts of totora (lake plant), the population lives from fishing, crafts, hunting and collecting eggs. Continuing we will arrive at the island of Amantani where we will have a short walk that offers spectacular views of the Cordillera Real in Bolivia and the magnificent sunset over the lake. DAY 9: AMANTANI – TAQUILE – PUNO

This day we will enjoy the local breakfast and then continue to the Island of Amantani covered with crops on terraces used and renovated since pre-Inca times, the population lives in a traditional Inca way, a way of working where help is collective, each villager works one day for them and others for the community, making this island self-sustaining. Return to the hotel in Puno. Hotel night.

DAY 10: PUNO – CUSCO.

We have to say goodbye to this region of the high plateau, in the direction of the city of Cusco (6:30 HRS APPROX). We will pass through the Collao plateau where we will visit the town of Pucará, famous for its crafts of the Pucara bulls. Then we will visit La Raya, the highest point of this route and the border between the departments of Puno and Cusco, a place surrounded by small volcanoes. We will stop in Sicuani to enjoy lunch. Continuing with the trip we will arrive at the archaeological center of Raqchi, a sanctuary built by the Inca Pachacútec in honor of the God Wiracocha and as the last place to visit we will arrive at the town of Andahuaylillas, where they will visit the famous Chapel better known as the Sistine Chapel of South America. . DAY 11: CUSCO – CITY TOUR.

After your lunch (13:00 HRS APPROX) we will be waiting for you to start with the city tour in which you will be able to see the tourist attractions in the city and surroundings in an unforgettable city tour, visiting what is the Qoricancha temple, La Cusco Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman Temple, Qenqo and Tambomachay. At night we will be back (18:00 HRS APPROX) to spend the night at the hotel.

DAY 12: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES.

This day you will begin to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas (7:30 HRS APPROX), on the banks of the Vilcanota River. On the excursion they will visit the Inca citadel of Pisac and then they will go down to the town to visit the traditional market, there they will have the opportunity to discover the customs of the people and be able to haggle with the craft vendors; short break. Then they will continue towards the fortress of Ollantaytambo, which was built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions by the peoples of the Jungle. They will take a walk through the streets of this town, which have still preserved the traces of the old military and religious center from the time of the Inca empire. After the visit, at night you will take the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.

DAY 13: MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO.

Until the day finally arrives to discover the wonder of the world. This very early day you will leave the hotel to take the bus up to the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu, considered a jewel of Inca architecture: with neighborhoods, squares, houses, agricultural areas, roads, observatories, etc. Built on one of the flanks of the old mountain in the middle of semi-tropical vegetation. DAY 14: CUSCO - MARAS MORAY.

This day, we continue exploring the Sacred Valley (08:00 HRS approx), visiting the town of Maras, the salt mines of Maras, where the inhabitants have been exploiting salt following the ancestral system they have since pre-Inca times. This is how we can see this incredible place of different colors and contrasts. Then we go to Moray, an old experimentation center to acclimatize the plants, finally returning to the city of Cusco (14:30 HRS approx).

DAY 15: CUSCO – PUERTO MALDONADO.

Very early, this day we will transfer you to the airport so that you can board your flight to Puerto Maldonado where we will wait for you and transfer you to the office for the corresponding records. Then we will go to the captaincy port where we will take the boat for 40 minutes, to our Monte Amazonico lodge – Installation in our respective rooms. As an introduction, a walk for two hours in the dense tropical forest, guided by an expert local guide, who will take you through our trails and you will be able to appreciate a variety of trees that can be more than five hundred years old, as well as, you will be able to observe some species of animals. wild. After lunch, we will visit the "island of the monkeys", located in front of our Lodge crossing the Madre de Dios River where we will find different species such as the family of capuchin monkeys. At night we will go in search of white alligators that are generally found on sandbanks, in the Madre de Dios River, for which it will be necessary to carry a flashlight.

DAY 16: PUERTO MALDONADO.

After breakfast we will walk 3 km. In the middle of the dense tropical jungle and we will go to Lake Sandoval, one of the largest lakes in the Tambopata National Reserve and we will ride in a rowing boat where we will appreciate a great variety of animals of different species. Perhaps we will have an encounter with the giant otter family (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction and the largest registered alligators over 4 meters long. Return to the Lodge to enjoy the typical lunch. At night we will have a walk where we will be able to appreciate the diversity of species of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. – dinner and rest.

DAY 17: PUERTO MALDONADO.

At 5:30 a.m. In the morning we will take a short walk through the Canopy walk-way, over 30 meters high, in the treetops, which will allow us to appreciate nature from as high as possible, we will also have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River . From the platforms we will observe different species of birds, such as toucans, macaws, tanagers, orioles, it will be a wonderful experience.

DAY 18: PUERTO MALDONADO.

Very early in the morning we will take the boat to visit the parrot clay lick, a wall of earth (clay) on one side of the Madre de Dios River, where the different species come down to eat this special and indispensable clay necessary for their metabolism. –Return and breakfast. After lunch we will visit a family of indigenous people who will make us participate in their daily activities, learning about their customs that have been maintained over time. Dinner and rest.

DAY 19: PUERTO MALDONADO – LIMA.

Breakfast and return to the city of Puerto Maldonado to board our flight service to Lima. Once in Lima, transportation will wait for us to take us to the hotel and rest.

DAY 20: LIMA – RETURN.

Finally, after having had a unique experience in our lives and having known Peru, farewell awaits us. Very early in the morning we will provide you with transportation to the airport where you will board your flight back home.
